Severe weather warnings issued for citizens, relevant authorities

SANAA, Sept. 16 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning issued severe warnings to citizens in Sanaa and other provinces on Tuesday, of the dangers of thunderstorms and flash floods in valleys and ravines.

In its weather forecast,  the center called on relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to mitigate the risk of flash floods.

The center also warned of strong downward winds and poor visibility on mountainous roads and slopes due to low cloud cover, fog, and rainfall.

It forecast the scattered showers in the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Mahweet, Sanaa, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, and Hodeida. As well as Dhalea, Bayda, Jawf, Marib, Mahra, the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.
