TAIZ, Sept. 15 (YPA) – Several health units and centers in the Tihama region of western Taiz province, controlled by Emirati-backed factions, have shut down completely due to a lack of operational funding, and unpaid salaries.
Medical sources reported that the recent closure of some health units, particularly in the districts of Mocha, Mawza, and Al-Waziyah, exacerbates the suffering of local residents.
These communities are already grappling with harsh living conditions and the spread of deadly diseases, including dengue fever, which has been circulating since July.
The lack of financial resources remains a major obstacle to the continued delivery of healthcare services.
According to the sources, some health centers and units are still offering limited first aid services, but a severe shortage of free medications is further compounding the suffering of residents.
