MADRID, Sept. 15 (YPA) – Spain announced the cancellation of a massive contract to purchase advanced artillery systems from Israeli firm Elbit Systems, in a move described as a “painful blow” to the Israeli defense industry.
This is the second canceled deal of its kind within a month, with the total value of the scrapped agreements reaching €1 billion.
The decision comes amid mounting international pressure on “Israel” over its war on Gaza and is seen as a shift in European political attitudes.
Analysts believe this move could set a precedent for other European nations, potentially increasing Israel’s economic and military isolation on the global stage.
