ADEN, Sept. 14 (YPA) -Senior Islah Party Leader Mohammed Abdul Majid Al-Zindani, residing in Ankara, issues a fatwa against the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) following the visit of an Israeli delegation to Aden last July.
“The STC’s decision to allow an Israeli media delegation to visit Aden represents “a disgraceful betrayal of Yemen, religiously, morally, and nationally,” Al-Zindani wrote on “X “(formerly Twitter).
He added that “the visit contradicts Yemen’s official, popular, political, and diplomatic stance, which categorically rejects all forms of normalization with the Zionist entity.”
Al-Zindani called on Yemen’s religious, political, and social elites across all spectrums to “condemn what happened and stand firmly against such reckless actions.”
It is worth noting that most leaders and clerics of the Islah Party, loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, along with their affiliated media outlets, are effectively siding with Israel by attacking Yemen’s support for the people of Gaza, adopting Zionist narratives, and directing their media efforts toward spreading divisive regional and sectarian rhetoric targeting the Yemeni government and armed forces in Sanaa.
