“Israel” intensifies Gaza bombardment, continues demolition of homes, residential towers

GAZA, Sept. 13 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces have escalated their aerial and artillery shelling on the northern Gaza Strip, particularly Gaza City, while continuing to detonate and demolish residential homes and towers.

Local sources reported that a number of civilians were injured when Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City. Israeli occupation drones also struck homes near the Yarmouk neighborhood, and occupation vehicles opened fire on people waiting for humanitarian aid.

The occupation forces are conducting widespread demolition and bombing operations of residential buildings using what are called “booby-trapped robots” in Gaza’s neighborhoods, as part of a policy aimed at forcibly displacing the population.

This escalation comes a day after 70 Palestinians were killed in the Strip, bringing the total casualties to more than 64,756 martyrs and 164,059 injured since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023.
