SHABWA, Sept. 11 (YPA) – Ammar Mohammed Salem bin Farid, a leader in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), submitted his resignation from his position as director of the political administration at the STC branch in the As-Sa’id district of Shabwa province.
Bin Farid justified his resignation by protesting what he described as “blatant and irresponsible interference” by those close to the council’s president, Aidarous al-Zubaidi.
In his resignation statement, which he posted on his Facebook page, he emphasized that these practices target institutional work and empty it of its substance. He noted that the most prominent of these interferences appear in the General Land Authority, which has rendered organizational structures incapable of performing their duties.
Bin Farid’s resignation reveals the existence of sharp internal disputes within the council’s ranks, particularly with the “Dhalea wing” seeking to control civilian and military positions.
