DOHA, Sept. 09 (YPA) – In a dramatic and unprecedented escalation, Israeli occupation forces reportedly launched an airstrike targeting a civilian residence in the Qatari capital, Doha, which was said to be hosting senior members of Hamas.
According to well-informed Palestinian sources, the five martyrs who fell in the occupation’s bombing of the headquarters of the negotiating delegation of “Hamas” in Doha are:
- Jihad Labad “Abu Bilal” – Director of Dr. Khalil Al-Hayyah’s office
- Hamam Al-Hayya “Abu Yahya” – Son of Dr. Khalil Al-Hayyah
- Abdullah Abdul Wahid “Abu Khalil” – PA of Dr. Basim Naim
- Muamen Husuna “Abu Omar” – Office employee
- Ahmed Al-Mamlouk “Abu Malik” – Office employee
Speaking to Al Jazeera, Suheil al-Hindi, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, confirmed the Hamas leadership survived the “cowardly assassination attempt” after an ‘Israeli’ attack targeted a Hamas meeting in Doha.
The strike at Doha hit the Hamas negotiation team as it was discussing the newest American proposal put forward by US envoy Steve Witkoff for a ceasefire in Gaza, added al-Hindi.
In a separate remarks to Al Mayadeen, senior Hamas official Hani al-Dali said the Israeli strike on the Hamas delegation in Doha had failed, despite “Israeli-American coordination.”
He condemned the attack as “a violation of Qatari sovereignty and Arab national security,” and called for “a coordinated Arab response to halt Israel’s ongoing aggression.”
The strike represents a serious and unprecedented development in Israel’s military campaign, shifting the battleground from traditional zones of conflict to regional capitals, raising concerns about a widening escalation across the region
