BERLIN, Sept. 09 (YPA) – Activists in solidarity with Palestinians broke into the building of the Israeli arms company “Elbit Systems” in the city of Ulm, Germany, causing extensive damage.
The official Broadcasting Corporation stated that activists from the “Palestine Action” organization broke into the “Elbit” building in the German city, “causing significant damage to the company’s equipment, computers, and offices.”
Palestine Action was founded in 2020 and gained prominence through its activities following Israel’s commencement of a genocidal campaign in Gaza on October 7, 2023.
For its part, the Hebrew newspaper “Haaretz” said the activists filmed themselves, broke windows, threw smoke bombs and bags of paint inside the building, and spray-painted graffiti related to the war in Gaza, such as “child killers.”
It added, “Police who arrived at the scene cordoned off the building and arrested five suspects on the upper floor without resistance.” The newspaper said, “No one was harmed in the incident, but preliminary damages are estimated at hundreds of thousands of euros, according to a statement from the local police.”
