UNRWA: Bombing residential towers in Gaza displaces families, deepens humanitarian crisis

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 09 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said, on Tuesday, that Israeli attacks targeting residential towers in Gaza have displaced dozens of families, leaving many of them on the streets without shelter or basic necessities.

The agency added, in a post on the X platform, that the severe restrictions on humanitarian access have exacerbated the suffering of the displaced, who are living in harsh conditions after losing their homes.

UNRWA confirmed that the humanitarian situation is worsening, stressing the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians and ensure the delivery of aid.

The Israeli enemy army has continued, since October 7, 2023, to commit crimes of genocide, a war of siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip with American and European support.

This has resulted in the martyrdom of 64,605 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 163,319 others to date, in a non-final toll, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue crews.
