Gunmen break into orphan girls’ home in Mocha

TAIZ, Sept. 06 (YPA) – Members of the UAE-backed armed factions, led by Tariq Saleh, stormed a residential building in the city of Mocha, west of Taiz province.

The militants brok into the building owned by orphaned girls from the Al-Masawi family, and forced them out at gunpoint, replacing them with women from their own families.

The orphan girls’ representative, Abdul Basit Abdul Salam Othman, confirmed that armed men led by Abdo Al-Jabri stormed the house, even though the case was still pending before the relevant authorities.

He demanded the arrest of the armed attackers, led by Al-Jabry, the qat tax contractor in Al-Wazi’iyah, the removal of the occupiers who entered the house by force of arms, and justice for the orphans.

The incident sparked widespread condemnation among the people of Mocha, who viewed the house as a violent attack by the militants, who were considered vulnerable and owned by orphaned girls.
