Gunmen attack police station in Aden

ADEN, Sept. 03 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen attacked a police station in the city of Aden at dawn on Wednesday, injuring a soldier on guard duty and causing panic among residents.

A local source said the attack was carried out with an offensive grenade during Fajr prayers, targeting the Al-Qalou’a police station, which is under the control of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC). Shrapnel from the grenade scattered into a number of nearby homes.

The source added that the explosion was followed by heavy gunfire around the police station, leading to a state of fear and terror among the area’s residents. No further details about the incident were available.
