Two citizens, including children, injured in Shabwa clashes

SHABWA, Sept. 03 (YPA) – A citizen, his wife, and one of their children were injured on Wednesday in armed clashes breaking out of Ataq city, the provincial capital of Shabwa, which is under the control of UAE-backed factions.

Local sources affirmed that clashes were erupted between tribal gunmen near Shabwa General Hospital, resulting in the injury of Ali Mubarak Al-Bouri Al-Barasi and his family members, some of whom were described as critical.

The source attributed the clashes to a tribal feud dating back more than 20 years, linked to the so-called “Hamad bin Hussein Al-Barasi”.

This incident came amidst a state of security chaos in Shabwa, particularly following the kidnapping of businessman Yaslam Baali last Monday from outside his home, which is close to a police station.
