LONDON, Sept. 03 (YPA) – Former British MP George Galloway asserted on Tuesday that Israeli assassination of the head of the Sanaa government, Ahmed al-Rahwi, and nine of his ministers would not bring security, but dire consequences.
“The Netanyahu government mistakenly believes that by killing the Yemeni prime minister, it has settled the battle, but the final word will remain with the honorable Yemeni people,” Galloway said in televised remarks. “Has this action made the Netanyahu government safe? Are the settlers safe? On the contrary, Israel has opened the gates of hell upon itself.”
Last Thursday, the Israeli occupation carried out an assassination operation targeting Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahwi and several ministers from the government in the capital, Sanaa.
This escalation, observers consider, was a dangerous step that will exacerbate tensions in the region.
