Dozens of military, security personnel threaten to storm Ma’ashiq Palace in Aden
ADEN, Sept. 02 (YPA) – Dozens of soldiers and security personnel in the city of Aden have threatened to storm Ma’ashiq Palace, the headquarters of the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in southern Yemen, to demand the payment of their salaries, which have been delayed for three months.
Activists circulated a video clip showing a soldier named “Ali Al-Otaibi” vowing from in front of the palace to storm it and expel the government and the head of the pro-coalition Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, if their salaries are not disbursed.
These developments come amid growing anger among military and security forces due to the delay in receiving their financial entitlements.
