SANAA, Sept. 01 (YPA) – Security forces in Yemen’s capital Sanaa said they had dismantled a spy accused of helping facilitate an Israeli airstrike targeting a meeting of local government officials.
Informed sources stated that thorough reviews and investigations by security agencies led to the discovery of critical information regarding surveillance, monitoring, and tracking operations carried out by US, Israeli, and cooperating Arab intelligence services
The sources added that the investigation led to the arrest of several suspected spies.
Authorities in Sanaa have reportedly launched a comprehensive review of their security protocols in response to the findings.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi commended the achievements of Yemen’s security forces in protecting the home front, preventing infiltration, and confronting traitors who serve the Israeli agenda. He assured that further successes will be announced in the coming days.
This came during his speech on the Israeli assassination that targeted a Yemeni government workshop last Thursday, killing Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi along with several ministers and officials.
He noted that the security services have achieved significant successes in fortifying the internal front and enjoy broad popular support through the tribal honor document and weekly demonstrations that confirm the unity of the popular and official stance.
