Demonstrators spray red paint on home of New York Times editor-in-chief

LSANAA, Aug. 30 (YPA) – Pro-Palestine protesters sprayed red paint on the New York City home of the executive editor of The New York Times, protesting what they considered bias in the paper’s coverage of the war in Gaza.

According to police, the red paint was found on the walls, steps, and entrance lamps of the luxury apartment building where the executive, Joseph Kahn, lives.

The activists also wrote “Joseph Kahn is lying, and Gaza is dying” on the sidewalk in front of the house’s front door.

Police sources said that this is not the first incident of its kind, as protesters have targeted Kahn’s home several times because of The New York Times’s coverage of the conflict.

This protest is the latest in a series of demonstrations targeting The New York Times and other cultural institutions in the city, which the protesters accuse of taking pro-occupation positions or investing in companies with ties to the Israeli military.

A spokesperson for the newspaper confirmed that “vandalism and targeting individuals and their families crosses a red line,” indicating that they will work with the authorities to deal with this matter.
