Yemeni court sentences 2 Al-Qaeda members to death
SANAA, Feb. 11 (YPA) – The Criminal Court of First Instance in the capital Sanaa on Sunday convicted 12 members of Al-Qaeda on charges against them in the indictment, sentencing two of them to death.
SANAA, Feb. 11 (YPA) – The Criminal Court of First Instance in the capital Sanaa on Sunday convicted 12 members of Al-Qaeda on charges against them in the indictment, sentencing two of them to death.
According to the court’s verdict, Muhammad Al-Aqili, Abdullah Al-Haweri, were sentenced to death.
The court set free the 10 others, as they had completed their sentences stipulated in the verdict.
The convicts have been accused during the periods from January 2011 to January 2016 of taking part in an armed gang belonging to Al-Qaeda for carrying out terrorist acts, including looting, bombing and kidnapping foreigners.
