Israeli occupation suffers from heavy casualties in Gaza
GAZA, Aug. 12 (YPA) – Qassam Brigades, the Hamas military wing, declared on Tuesday it had carried out a series of unique operations targeting Israeli occupation forces advancing east of the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza City.
In a statement, the Brigades said its fighters inflicted the Israeli soldiers heavy casualties after their return from the confrontation lines.
The statement clarified that on July 4, 2025, an Israeli Merkava tank was targeted with a Yassin 105 missile inside Mansoura Street.
On July 9, the battalions’ snipers also managed to hit three Israeli soldiers inside the same street, killing or wounding them.
On July 16, Qassam fighters targeted an Israeli command and control site on Mansoura Street, using guns, anti-personnel missiles, and a Rajum rocket, scoring the targets directly.
These operations came as part of a response to ongoing Israeli crimes against civilians in the Gaza Strip, and as part of its battles to prevent the occupation from infiltrating the city’s quarters.
