GAZA, July (YPA) – Julia Duchrow, secretary-general of Amnesty International in Germany, has stated that investigations conducted by the organization have concluded that Israel has committed — and continues to commit — acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Duchrow said that the mass killings carried out by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians indicate a deliberate intent to commit genocide, noting that targeting innocent populations stands in direct violation of international law.
She further highlighted that Israel’s policy of deliberately starving Gaza’s population constitutes a war crime under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
Duchrow called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in putting an end to these serious violations.
Her remarks come amid growing international calls for “Israel
” to be held accountable for its ongoing actions in the occupied Palestinian territories, as the country faces increasing allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
