Israeli occupation forces detain 26 Palestinians in West Bank

WEST BANK, July 21 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces detained at least 26 Palestinians in a series of overnight raids across various parts of the occupied West Bank on Monday,  the Palestinian news agency SAFA reported, citing local sources.

In Bethlehem, nine Palestinians were arrested during raids carried out in the towns of Doha, Beit Sahour, and the Dheisheh refugee camp. The majority of arrests took place in Doha, while others occurred in Beit Sahour and the camp. The occupation forces reportedly searched several homes during the operations.

In Hebron, the occupation forces arrested nine Palestinians across several towns and villages in the district. Local sources reported that some of those detained were subjected to physical assault and mistreatment during the arrest raids.

According to Palestinian sources, the occupation troops also set up military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron and surrounding towns and villages, blocking several main and side roads with gates, cement blocks, and dirt mounds.

In Jenin, the occupation forces detained two young men from the town of Silat al-Harithiya, and another one from the town of Al-Yamun after raiding their homes.

In Ramallah, the occupation forces detained two Palestinians during a raid on the Jalazone refugee camp, where troops stormed several homes and ransacked their contents. The forces also entered the village of Qibya, west of Ramallah, but no arrests were reported there.

In Nablus, Israeli soldiers raided multiple homes, causing significant damage during the operations. Two brothers were detained in one of the raids. Meanwhile, groups of settlers were reported to have entered the western part of the city, near the entrance to the Al-Ma’ajin neighborhood.

In Qalqilya, Israeli forces raided several homes, including those belonging to the Al-Hajj Hassan and Mahmoud Al-Walwil families. No arrests were reported, but homes were ransacked.

In Salfit, a Palestinian woman was detained from her home in the town of Kafr ad-Dik after Israeli occupation soldiers raided and searched the property.
