Brazilian President: World cannot stand idly by while “Israel” commits genocide in Gaza

BRASILIA, July 07 (YPA) – Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva called for urgent international action to halt the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation entity in the Gaza Strip, describing what is happening there as genocide.

During the BRICS summit, which began today in Brazil, President Luiz stressed the need not to ignore Israeli occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people, asserting that the continuation of the war reveals the international community’s failure to protect civilians.

He called for steps to end the suffering of the Palestinians, amid calls to form a diplomatic pressure front against the occupation and its allies.
