GAZA, July 06 (YPA) – The Ministry of Health in Gaza warned on Saturday of the ongoing fuel shortage crisis that is threatening the operation of hospital generators.
In a statement, the ministry confirmed that this crisis exacerbates the severe exhaustion of the healthcare system, particularly the few hospitals still functioning in the Gaza Strip.
According to the ministry’s statement, the growing number of critical injuries requires uninterrupted operation of generators to keep essential departments running.
The statement added that the occupation is deliberately restricting fuel entry, leaving hospitals without enough time to continue functioning.
The ministry stressed that emergency and temporary solutions are no longer effective, warning that life-saving departments could soon shut down.
It also noted that hospital engineering teams are overwhelmed with maintaining generator operations and implementing rationing measures.
