Complete power outage hits Mukalla due to sudden malfunction

HADRAMOUT, July 02 (YPA) 0 The city of Mukalla, the center of the oil-rich Hadramout governorate, plunged into complete darkness a short while ago due to a power outage affecting the city and its surroundings.

Mukalla Electricity Corporation confirmed that a sudden malfunction occurred in the Harshiyat Al-Monawara transmission line and the Harshiyat Al-Hyper transmission line, which caused the power plants to go offline.

It explained that the engineering teams are currently working on restoring electricity gradually to all areas.

Additionally, it pointed out that efforts are underway to restart the power plants, locate the fault, and the corporation’s teams have begun implementing the necessary repairs to fix the malfunction .
