US approves $510 million arms sale to “Israel”

WASHINGTON, July 01 (YPA) – The administration of US President Donald Trump has approved a $510 million arms deal to the Israeli entity, including more than 7,000 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) guidance kits.

The US State Department affirmed its commitment to “Israel’s security” and considered the deal to be in the US national interest to support “Israel’s defense capabilities.”

Last March, the Pentagon announced that the State Department had approved the sale of $2.7 billion in munitions and equipment, divided into packages that included companies such as Rebcon, Boeing, and General Dynamics. A deal to sell Caterpillar bulldozers and other equipment worth $295 million was also approved.

In February, the administration of the former US President Joe Biden approved an $8 billion deal for artillery shells, missiles, and various bombs.

The United States is one of Israel’s most prominent arms suppliers, especially during the Gaza War, sending thousands of tons of weapons and ammunition.
