TEHRAN, June 26 (YPA) – Iranian authorities arrested a spy in the Tehran metro on Thursday.
The Iranian Mehr News Agency quoted the spokesman for the Iranian Internal Security Forces, Brigadier General Montazer al-Mahdi, as saying: “Tehran Metro Police suspected a person while he was moving, so he was arrested immediately.”
He added: “By examining his technical equipment and mobile phone, it was found that he had recorded military and sensitive sites using an electronic chip and sent them to unknown numbers. He also received instructions in Hebrew.”
“The accused, along with the seized equipment, was handed over to the specialized police and the judicial authority to continue the investigations,” he added.
