Yemen’s weather suffers from sea turbulence, increased temperatures

SANAA, June 23 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning warned citizens in desert and coastal areas on Monday of hot weather.

In its weather bulletin, the center advised residents of these areas to avoid direct sunshine during the afternoon and to drink plenty of fluids.

The bulletin affirmed that th maximum temperatures may range between 34 and 45 degrees Celsius, indicating that rainfall of varying intensity on parts of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Bayda, Rayma, Dhamar, Mahweet, Amran, and Hajjah, as well as to Sanaa, Jawf, and Saada, and Abyan.

It stated that winds would be active to very strong over the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, and the southern and eastern coasts, with speeds ranging between 30-45 knots.
