TEHRAN, June 21 (YPA) – Iranian state TV confirmed the launch of a new rocket barrage around midnight Friday and early Saturday, targeting deep inside Israeli-occupied Palestine.
This marks the 18th wave of operations in response to ongoing aggression.
Loud explosions were heard, particularly around Tel Aviv, amid reports that Iran launched that Iran launched 10 ballistic missiles, with a concentrated strike on the central region.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, one of the missiles hit a building in Greater Tel Aviv, specifically in the city of Holon, south of Tel Aviv, sparking a large fire.
Emergency crews are continuing efforts to contain the blaze, amid official silence regarding the extent of the damage and possible casualties.
Air raid sirens sounded across wide areas of occupied Palestine, from Netanya in the north to Ashdod in the south, including Tel Aviv and the central region.
The city of Holon located just south of Tel Aviv; Holon hosts several vital sites that could be considered potential targets for Iranian strikes.
Along its northern border with Bat Yam and Tel Aviv, the area includes factories and warehouses operated by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), as well as defense-related research facilities, some situated within restricted security zones.
Holon also houses key command centers, including field police headquarters and technology control centers responsible for managing infrastructure across the “Greater Tel Aviv” area
.Among these is the Holon Institute of Technology, a leading educational institution in the field of information technology, which has occasionally collaborated on joint projects with the Israeli military and security sector.
