THERAN, June 20 (YPA) – Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi arrived on Friday in Geneva to hold talks with European foreign ministers regarding the crisis of the Iran’s nuclear program, a week after the military confrontations between “Israeli occupation and Iran.
Araqchi arrived at a hotel in Geneva to participate in a meeting with his counterparts from France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, along with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
This was the first direct meeting between Western and Iranian officials since the outbreak of the conflict.
Ahead of the meeting, Araqchi stated that his country has “nothing to discuss” with the United States as long as Israel continues its strikes on Iran, but is open to “dialogue” with other parties, albeit not within the framework of negotiations.
