Armed clashes erupt among Shabwa tribes

SHABWA, June 15 (YPA) – Armd clashes erupted on Saturday south of Ataq city, the provincial capital of Shabwa, which is under the control of pro-UAE factions.

Local source said the clashes broke out among militants from Al Salem bin Dahha tribe in Yashbam area of As Sa’eid district since the beginning of June, sparked by a feud between members of the tribe.

The clashes came amidst security chaos in Shabwa’s districts, amid accusations that Emirati-backed faction leaders fueling conflicts among tribes.
