Israeli airlines take over Ben Gurion Airport

ALQUDS, June 13 (YPA) – Israeli airlines suspended on Friday their flights, fearing a retaliation from Tehran after a large-scale attack by the Israeli entity on Iran.

Agencies and media outlets quoted a spokesperson for Lod Airport, known as Ben Gurion in Jaffa, (Tel Aviv), which was closed on Friday until further notice, as saying that the planes were being transported without passengers.

He affirmed that the airlines of El Al, Israir and Arkia would suspend its flights.

Israir Airlines stated that it transferred its aircraft from Lod Airport, adding that this was part of an emergency plan developed in recent days. El Al Airlines stated that it would move its aircraft from Jaffa to other destinations, while Arkia declined to disclose its destination.

Flightradar24 data showed that a number of Israir flights were headed to Cyprus, and El Al aircraft were also headed to airports in Europe.
