Radioactive contamination recorded at Natanz nuclear site after Israeli strikes

TEHRAN, June 13 (YPA) – Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said that radioactive contamination has been detected inside the main uranium enrichment site in Natanz facility, but there is no contamination outside after the Israeli aggression.

“We need to clean up the radiation inside the Natanz site, and there is no cause for concern,” the agency added.

Meanwhile, Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), confirmed: “We wrote to the IAEA director general several times and received no response. As an official, he should have paid attention to the threats we face, but he did not.”

He added, “in a media interview, the Director General justified these threats rather than condemning them. We have previously written letters calling on international organizations to intervene because these threats constitute an international threat.”

Kamalvandi described the agency’s latest report as political and commissioned, noting that the report reflected a unified movement by Western countries and that the agency was no longer neutral.
