“Steadfastness” convoy to break Gaza siege arrives in Libya

LIBYA, June 11 (YPA) – The “Steadfastness” convoy, aiming at breaking the Gaza blockade, which had previously set off from Tunisian territory, arrived on Wednesday in the city of Al-Zawiya as its first stop within Libyan borders, media sources reported.

The convoy was met with significant enthusiasm and support from the city’s residents. The convoy consists of approximately 20 buses and 350 vehicles, carrying around 1,500 participants from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, and Libya.

Organizers of the convoy emphasized that it is not carrying aid or donations. Its primary goal is to join the global movement working to break the Gaza blockade.

The convoy is set to proceed to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, followed by Misrata. From there, it will head eastward through Libya, reaching the “Emsaed” border crossing between Libya and Egypt. It will then continue to Cairo before arriving at the Rafah border crossing on the 15th of this month.
