OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 05 (YPA) The Israeli occupation military announced on Thursday evening that it had detected the launch of a missile from Yemen toward occupied Palestine, marking a new development in the series of cross-border threats facing “Israel” since the start of its war on Gaza.
An Israeli military spokesperson stated that air defense systems were activated immediately upon detection of the missile threat, though no details were provided regarding the target or the impact location.
Israeli media reported that air raid sirens were triggered in parts of the country’s south.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, the Iron Dome and early warning systems responded to what was classified as an “unusual security incident,” as field assessments continue amid concerns over the possibility of additional attacks.
This incident comes as Sanaa-based forces in Yemen escalate their military campaign, targeting Israeli-affiliated assets in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, in support for Gaza’s ongoing struggle.
