Swedish activist: Israel’s kidnapping of Madeleine ship is war crime and violation of international law

SANAA, June 11 (YPA) – Prominent Swedish activist, Greta Thunberg, expressed her deep concern over the continued systematic violations of international law and war crimes committed by Israel.

In statements, Thunberg indicated that the illegal hijacking of the Madeleine ship, on which she was aboard, is just one example of the numerous violations of international law committed by Israel and the ongoing war crimes against the Palestinian people.

She stressed that Israel’s seizure of the Madeleine ship in international waters and its transfer to its territory against the will of the passengers constitutes a clear hijacking.

She also emphasized that this hijacking is nothing compared to the daily violations and ongoing suffering suffered by Palestinians as a result of Israel’s practices against them.

These statements come in the context of increasing international voices denouncing violations of human rights and international law, war crimes, genocide, and the tightening of the siege by the Zionist enemy entity in the occupied Palestinian territories.
