SANAA, June 04 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning predicted on Wednesday the heat to dry conditions would intensify in the desert and coastal areas.
In its weather forecast, the center affirmed that maximum temperatures in the desert areas will range between 39 and 46 degrees Celsius, with light to moderate winds.
It indicated the possibility of light rain in the Socotra Archipelago, and winds may be moderate to strong in speed on the eastern and southern coasts and Bab al-Mandab Strait, with strong winds reaching 36 knots in the Socotra Archipelago.
The mountainous highlands are being expected to experience clear to partly cloudy skies, with the possibility of varying intensity of rain in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Al Mahweet, Sanaa, Dhamar, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, and Dhalea.
The center warned beachgoers and fishermen in the Socotra Archipelago of rough seas and high waves.
