Four fishermen go missing off Aden coasts

SANAA, June 02 (YPA) – About four fishermen from the Seera district of Aden province, south of Yemen, went missing after going out fishing at sea on Saturday.

Seera Fishermen’s Association in Aden confirmed in a statement that their boat was found empty in an area 27 nautical miles off Aden coast.

The association stated, in an official circulated by local media, that the four fishermen set out at dawn on Saturday on a Galaxy boat equipped with two 15-40 horsepower marine engines, and had not returned since then.

The statement indicated that the association had dispatched 10 boats and their sailors to search for the missing fishermen and their boat.

It called on the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of the coalition-backed Aden to contact the relevant authorities to search for the missing fishermen along the coastline, extending all the way to Hadramout.
