ATHENES, June 02 (YPA) – A protest rally was staged on Sunday in the Greek capital Athens rejecting the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and affirming to support the Palestinian people.
In the rally, thousands of supporters of the Palestinian cause participated in the demonstration, which began in central Athens and headed toward the Israeli embassy.
The participants chanted slogans condemning the Israeli aggression and supporting Palestine and its right to freedom and independence.
The Greek Workers’ Union (YAMA) organized this peaceful rally, which was crowned by Arjowan Al-Farra, one of the wounded children from Gaza, who recited excerpts from the poem “We have on this land that which makes life worth living,” wrote by the late Palestinian national poet Mahmoud Darwish.
