Two Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces near aid center in Rafah

GAZA, May 31 (YPA) – Two Palestinians were killed and dozens injured early Saturday morning when Israeli occupation forces opened fire on civilians attempting to reach an aid distribution center near Al-Alam Roundabout, west of Rafah in southern Gaza, according to Palestinian medical and local sources.

A large number of people had gathered in hopes of receiving humanitarian assistance when Israeli gunfire erupted, causing multiple casualties, the sources said.

In a separate incident, emergency teams recovered the bodies of four Palestinians—who were killed in a previous Israeli airstrike targeting the towns of Bani Suheila and Al-Qarara in Khan Younis.

Israeli military attacks intensified across the region overnight, with warplanes and drones launching heavy strikes on eastern areas of Jabalia in the north of the Strip. Simultaneously, artillery shelling was reported in northeastern parts of the Jabalia refugee camp.
