GAZA, May 30 (YPA) -The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released video footage on Friday showing their fighters targeting an Israeli “Musta’ribeen” undercover unit in Rafah, southern Gaza. The unit was disguised in civilian clothes and operating under the direction of Israeli forces.
The video, shared on Al-Qassam’s channel on Telegram, shows members of the undercover unit moving cautiously through residential areas near eastern Rafah. They searched homes while Israeli warplanes provided cover overhead.
According to Al-Qassam, the agents were scanning for tunnels and resistance fighters.
Moments later, the footage shows Al-Qassam fighters blowing up a booby-trapped house as the unit entered, resulting in deaths and injuries among the Israeli agents.
Al-Qassam stated that Israeli forces have increasingly relied on undercover operatives to support their ground invasion. These agents have been used to plant explosives, surveil homes, and aid the army in Rafah and other parts of Gaza. Some were filmed traveling in armored vehicles while posing as civilians.
