GAZA, May 28 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces Wednesday committed two massacres against two families in the northern and central Gaza Strip, killing 17 civilians, including children and women, according medical sources .
In the Saftawi neighborhood, north of Gaza City, an Israeli warplane raid targeted the home of the Al-Arbid family, killing eight members, including journalist Osama Al-Arbid and wounding others.
Sources added that six other citizens from the Aqeelan family were killed in the city of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, after their home was targeted by an Israeli warplane.
Two citizens were also killed by Israeli shelling and fire on the town of Abasan, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, while another young man was killed by Israeli drone fire in the town of Al-Fakhari, east of the city.
Yesterday evening, three citizens were killed and dozens wounded by Israeli forces’ fire west of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Since October 7, 2023, the occupation has committed crimes of genocide in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of 54,056 citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 123,129 others. This is a preliminary toll, with a number of victims still under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue teams.
