Militant killed, others injured in tribal clashes in Shabwa

SHABWA, May 25 (YPA) – One militant was killed and others injured in violent clashes on Sunday in Assa’id district, south of Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province, which is controlled by the UAE-backed factions in eastern Yemen.

Local sources in the province reported that clashes broke out between armed tribesmen from the Al-Qarmim and Al-Tanabla tribes in the middle of the Yashbam market in the Assa’id district, leading to the death of a person named “Sam Saleh Al-Qarmim Al-Salmi” and the injury of others.

According to the sources, the clashes continued between the two tribes’ militants for several hours without any intervention to stop them by the UAE-backed factions deployed in the Shabwa districts, amid accusations against the factions leaders of fueling disputes and blood feuds between the people of Shabwa.
