Death toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza rises to 53,939, with 122,797 wounded

GAZA, May 25 (YPA) – The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that hospitals there had received 38 martyrs and 204 wounded in the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation attacks.

In its daily report, the Ministry of Health stated that among the martyrs, three bodies were recovered from under the rubble of destroyed homes. It added that the death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 53,939, and 122,797 wounded.

The ministry also indicated that the latest escalation since the resumption of attacks on the Strip on March 18 has resulted in the killing of 3,785 people and the injury of 10,756 others.

The ministry confirmed that many victims are still trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings and in the streets due to the difficulties facing ambulance and civil defense teams in reaching them.
