Norway: The situation in Gaza is disappointing, as aid is being used as a weapon

SANAA, May 24 (YPA) – Norwegian Minister of International Development, Asmund Akerost, said that “the situation is disappointing in the Gaza Strip, where humanitarian aid is being used as a weapon.”

Akerost stressed that “the war in Gaza must be stopped, and action must be taken because the number of dead and wounded is increasing every day.”

He called for respect for international law and for organizations to be allowed to bring aid into Gaza.

The Israeli enemy forces renewed their aggression on the Gaza Strip at dawn on March 18, 2025, reversing a ceasefire agreement that had lasted for about 60 days.

Since October 7, 2023, the enemy army has been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving about 176,200 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
