Al-Quds Brigades carry out tight ambush for an occupation force east of Khan Yunis

GAZA, May 22 (YPA) – The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced on Thursday, that it had lured an Israeli mechanized engineering force into a well-laid ambush inside a booby-trapped building east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

In a brief military statement, the Brigades said that its fighters reported, upon their return from the battle lines, that they had managed to lure an engineering force into a well-laid ambush inside a building east of Khan Yunis, and the building had been rigged with highly explosive devices, and the force had detonated inside.

The statement added that immediately upon the arrival of the rescue and relief forces, the Brigades’ fighters targeted them with an anti-tank missile, confirming that helicopters had landed to evacuate the dead and wounded from the scene.

In the same context, Israeli media reported that Israeli soldiers were wounded in the Gaza Strip today.

The sources said that wounded soldiers were evacuated by helicopters out of the Strip following a new “security incident.”
