Heat-wave expected to target desert, coastal areas

SANAA, May 18 (YPA) -The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning renewed its warnings on Sunday to citizens against crossing floodwaters during rainfall.

In its weather bulletin, the center also warned of a heat-wave in desert and coastal areas.

The bulletin predicted that scattered rain would fall on areas in the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Mahweet, Dhamar, Rayma, Dhalea, Hadramout, Mahra, and Socotra.

The maximum temperatures will ranging between 36 and 41 degrees Celsius in desert areas, while 34 and 37 degrees Celsius may hit the coastal areas.
