Two people killed in Las Vegas gym shooting

WASHINGTON, May 17 (YPA) – Two people were killed and at least three others injured in a shooting at a gym in the US city of Las Vegas, according to local police.

Las Vegas Deputy Police Chief Andrew Walsh said that one person was killed at the Las Vegas Sports Club on the city’s west side following an outbreak of gunfire.

The police department affirmed in a statement posted on social media that officers shot the suspect, who was armed with a handgun, after he ran out the door.

The statement added that he was confirmed dead and the injured, one of them in critical condition, were transported to local hospitals.

Another person with minor injuries was able to reach the hospital on his own, and police was continuing to investigate the incident.
