Gaza death toll mounts up 53,272 people

GAZA, May 17 (YPA) – The Gaza-based Ministry of Health said on Saturday that hospitals in the Strip received on Saturday 153 civilians and 459 others wounded in the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli war on the Strip.

The ministry said in its daily statement that at least 53,272 people have been killed and 120,673 wounded the genocidal war being perpetrated by the Israeli occupation since October 7, 2023.

The statement pointed out that a number of victims are still under the rubble of destroyed homes and on the streets, where it is difficult for ambulance and civil defense crews to reach them.
