Meteorology predicts scattered showers on Yemen areas

SANAA, May 17 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning predicted on Saturday scattered showers in several Yemen provinces.

In its 24-hour weather bulletin, the thee light rains may fall on part of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Rayma, Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.

It pointed out that the coastal areas would be partly cloudy, with scattered rains expecting on the Socotra Archipelago, and the eastern and southern coasts.

The center explained that the winds would be moderate, ranging in speed from 12 to 22 knots, noting that the desert areas may be relatively clear, dusty, and dry, with maximum temperatures ranging from 36 to 42 degrees Celsius.

It warned citizens against being in or crossing flood channels and valleys during and after rainfall and to take shelter from thunderstorms.
