Russia’s UN Envoy: The US war in Yemen has failed

WORLD, May 15 (YPA) – Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that the United States has targeted civilian infrastructure in Yemen, emphasizing that the US military campaign—initiated under President Joe Biden—has proven to be a failure

The Russian envoy explained that the only result of the prolonged bombing in Yemen has been a severe deterioration of the humanitarian situation, noting tat Washington has finally acknowledged the futility of the military approach.

He called on “Israel” to refrain from taking hostile steps against Yemen to avoid a wider conflict.

“We do not justify the Ansar Allah operations, but they are a response to the ongoing suffering of civilians in Gaza,” he underlined.

Additionally, he pointed out that “Israel” has resumed its humanitarian blockade and military aggression in the besieged enclave, asserting that the only way to end Palestinian suffering is through an unconditional and sustainable ceasefire in Gaza.
