Civilian killed, eight injured in Israeli strikes on Lebanon

BEIRUT, May 08 (YPA) – The Israeli enemy’s raids on Lebanon led to, in a preliminary toll, killing one and injuring eight people, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement on Thursday.

Lebanon’s National News Agency affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s warplanes launched a series of airstrikes in Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon.

The agency affirmed that the raids targeted the vicinity of Nabatieh,” while local media outlets reported that the raids primarily targeted also forested and mountainous areas far from residential areas.

It added that the explosions created a state of terror and panic among citizens, most of whom rushed to schools to evacuate their students.
